Dr. Genin:  “Next Generation Repair of Soft-Tissue to Bone Injuries.”

Soft tissue-to-bone injuries such as rotator cuff tears are widespread and heal poorly, with an astonishing 20-94% reported incidence of re-tearing following surgery. We propose that the reason for these high failure rates is a failure of traditional surgical techniques to optimize mechanical load transfer, and are bringing optimized technology to the marketplace with the aim of transforming these surgeries.

Dr. Singamaneni:  “Disruptive Material Technologies for Ultrasensitive and Stable Biosensing”

In this talk, we will present two technologies that dramatically enhance the sensitivity and stability of existing biosensing modalities by orders of magnitude without altering the established workflow or capital equipment. The “add on” materials and methods presented here are simple, fundamental and enabling technologies to transform the sensitivity of existing bioanalytical technologies.
