Improving Diabetes Healthcare with Stem Cell Technologies      Healthcare costs for treating diabetes are over $42 billion per year, with persistence of long-term complications still a remaining major challenge in patient care. This seminar will discuss how the generation of insulin-producing cells from stem cells for use in drug screening and cell replacement therapy can revolutionize next generation treatment for patients.

Novel Intra-Vascular Cell and Drug-Eluting Delivery Platform  Arteriovenous grafts have been used for decades to facilitate hemodialysis. They are directly attached to a person’s vasculature. So why not use them as a cell and drug-delivery platform?
